Delroy Fray

Delroy Fray is a distinguished surgeon, medical educator, and healthcare administrator whose career has been marked by dedicated service to clinical excellence, medical training, and regional healthcare leadership in Jamaica. A graduate of The University of the West Indies, Dr. Fray completed his internship and postgraduate surgical training at Cornwall Regional Hospital, where he developed a strong foundation in general surgery and patient-centred care.

Further advancing his surgical expertise, Dr. Fray pursued additional surgical training in Scotland and earned Fellowship status with the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, reflecting his commitment to internationally recognised standards in surgical practice.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Fray served as a Staff Surgeon and later Senior Medical Officer at Cornwall Regional Hospital, contributing significantly to clinical services, surgical mentorship, and hospital operations. His experience and leadership later led to his transition into a strategic healthcare role as Special Advisor to the Western Regional Health Authority, where he provided guidance on healthcare delivery, administration, and regional medical services.

In addition to his clinical and administrative accomplishments, Dr. Fray has remained actively involved in medical education as a faculty member at The University of the West Indies Western Jamaica Campus, supporting the development and mentorship of future physicians and healthcare professionals.
